Seminar Description

Advanced Braiding — The Hair Care Professional will learn advanced braiding techniques including siki/genie lock, flat twist, two-strand flat twist (with and without extensions), and fishtail braid. Lock history, styling with ornamentation and braid maintenance that will include shampooing and conditioning. (3 days - 12 hours)

Seminar equipment and supplies: 1 kinky hair mannequin, 1 straight hair mannequin, 1 mannequin stand, 2 rattail combs, 1 wide tooth comb, 6 hair clips, styling gel, 6 packs Kanekalon, 1 pack of kinky hair, 1 bundle 12-inch yaki or wet and wavy human hair, 1 skein black acrylic yarn, 1 pair of scissors, 2 lighters, perm rods (yellow and blue), small rubber bands, hair pins, small towel, 4 small plastic trash bags and notepad and pencil.

Registration Agreement

I understand that this seminar is for continuing education only in order to enhance my skills in the field of cosmetology and/or barbering and its related fields. This means that I have already been licensed by the state or have completed the necessary training that is required by the state in order to obtain a license.

I understand that the seminar must be paid in full fourteen (14) calendar days before the start of class. If I should cancel, I understand that the registration fee is non-refundable. If the cancellation is less than 14 calendar days I will receive a refund of 50% of the seminar cost, and if less than 7 days the seminar fee in its entirety will be forfeited.

I understand that the seminar must be finished in its entirety in order to receive a certificate of completion. This means that if any classes are missed, I must complete them. If this is necessary, I will be required to pay 25% of the total cost of the seminar for each class missed.

I understand that I will be required to furnish certain materials that are needed for the seminar and a list will be provided.

I understand this seminar is 3 days long (occurring on Mondays and Tuesdays), beginning on TBA and ending on TBA from 6-10pm for a total of 12 hours.
